The Child Care Service (CCS) is responsible for:
- requesting assistance from the Inclusion Support Agency;
- providing the best possible care for all children, including those with high support needs, by undertaking inclusive and capacity building practices such as the development of the Assisted Inclusion Readiness Plan (AIR) and the Service Support Plan/s (SSP), with the assistance of an ISF. The AIR Plan should demonstrate a commitment by the CCS to inclusive practice and to staff professional development;
- obtaining parent/guardian permission to provide the ISF/ISA with personal information regarding their child/ren;
- lodging any applications with the accompanying SSP with the ISA;
- implementing and actioning the SSP and AIR plan. Approved applications (ISS/FSF) are an agreement between the Child Care Service and the ISA;
- lodging the claim for payment and attendance records at the end of each funding claim period;
- employing child care staff consistent with applicable industrial laws;
- providing all reporting requirements to the ISA;
- utilising any funds in accordance with the relevant guidelines and for the purposes approved;
- notifying the ISA of any changes, including for example, a reduction in hours of support required, a change in ownership of the centre or staff in the care environment, or when the child leaves the service;
- Where ISS funding is involved:
- completing an annual review (evaluation) and submitting a re-application or final form as applicable;
- participation in the review process – including quarterly progress visits by the ISF;
- financial management and accountability of ISS funds and program delivery
