National Inclusion Support Subsidy Provider Announced

Parliamentary Secretary for Early Childhood Education, Maxine McKew, announced on 13 January 2009, that KU Children’s Services has been awarded the national contract to administer the Inclusion Support Subsidy program. “KU Children’s Services will operate as the single national Inclusion Support Subsidy program provider. This change is expected to deliver increased consistency, efficiency and flexibility within the program,” Ms McKew said.

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) selected KU Children’s Services, Australia’s largest not-for-profit provider of early childhood education and child care, as the new National ISS Provider.

As a single National ISS Provider, KU, in partnership with fellow not for profit provider, Illawarra Children’s Services, will ensure consistent and efficient provision of funding support to assist in families accessing high quality education and child care for their children. Illawarra Children’s Services is the provider for Queensland Service Providers and their contact details are as follows:

Since the beginning of March 2009, Illawarra Children’s Services have been providing the Inclusion Support Subsidy Provider role, which was previously delivered at a local level by Inala Community House, as the Ipswich Region ISS Provider.
