The Inclusion Support Agency's Roles and Responsibilities

  • The ISA is responsible for managing and co-ordinating access to quality inclusion support that is relevant, appropriate and timely for all eligible child care services within their region.
  • Through the management of ISFs, ISAs are responsible for monitoring reapplication and review/evaluation dates, responding to support and review requests and participating in the review (progress visits) and evaluation processes.
  • ISAs are responsible for the management and administration of Flexible Support Funding that can be accessed by child care services to employ additional staff for a time limited period to assist with the inclusion of a child with ongoing high support needs.
  • Inclusion Support Facilitators (ISFs) provide practical advice and facilitate access to a range of supports designed to strengthen the service's ability to create a quality care environment inclusive of all children.

These supports include, but are not limited to:

  • providing onsite assistance with Service Support Plans (SSPs)
  • and Assisted Inclusion Readiness (AIR) Plans,
  • facilitating access to specialist equipment,
  • general resources library,
  • training and funding through ISS, FSF,
  • Bicultural Support Program (BSP)
  • and the Professional Support Coordinator (PSC).
