Inclusion Support Agencies (ISAs) are part of the Inclusion and Professional Support Program. While the aim of the IPSP is to promote and maintain high quality child care and inclusion for all children in eligible child care services, it is recognised that child care services need to be particularly supported in responding to the additional needs of children within the following priority groups:
Inclusion Support Agencies manage the provision of inclusion support to eligible child care services within a specified region. The objective of ISAs is to assist child care services to build the knowledge and confidence they need to be able to offer a quality, inclusive child care environment to children with additional needs. This will enable children with additional needs to participate in the activities available in child care services and have the same opportunities as others to learn, develop and succeed.
ISAs employ a network of Inclusion Support Facilitators (ISFs) to provide direct inclusion support to these child care services.
